It has finally happened. I am joining the ranks of bloggers. Why bother blogging anyway? It links me to those who have gone before me and those who will follow me in the art of sticks and string one stitch (word) at a time. It sure saves on the paper and pen!

I am the Knitting Apprentice as I will never claim to be expert! I will always be learning as all apprentices do from others, current, historically and myself!

This weblog will be about yarn, swatches, projects, needles, wheels, and other notions used in creating with string. Frustration rants, dreams and failures that deal with the art of yarn or fiber. Be it knitting (my fav) crochet, spinning, or weaving here it will appear. The llamas, alpacas, angora goats and sheep that join me on this journey will have stories about them in this blog too! Photos may even show up now and then. The dogs and ducks may get their 15 minutes of fame too!

A purist I am not! I believe that all yarn has a purpose! From acrylics, to novelty, to natural fiber, blends, to the way out of wire, plastic bags, Jelly yarn and even fabric. I may give them all a try! Just to say I knit that and may never again if need be! Again purist that is not me may even wonder into beading, quilting etc as I do now but not often on this blog.
